Mark Bateman, M.D.
Dr. Bateman, a native of Lexington, received his medical degree from East Tennessee State University. He served his internship at the Naval Hospital in San Diego and his residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. He is board certified in opthalmology.





Hilary Grissom M.D.
Dr. Grissom, a native of Lexington, received her medical degree and had her residency and surgery training at the University of Tennessee, Memphis College of Medicine. She interned at Methodist Univeristy Hospital in Memphis. She has a special interest in cataract surgery, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma and surgery of the eyelid.




Bruce Herron, M.D.
Dr. Herron, a Jackson native, earned his medical degree at Vanderbilt University. His residency and internship were at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He is board certified in ophthalmology. In 2006, he was appointed to a three-year term on the Board of Directors for Prevent Blindness Tennessee. He is serving as co-chair of the Board's Public Health Committee.



Sean Neel, M.D.
Dr. Neel earned his medical degree and had his residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is board eligible in ophthalmology.






Jason Sullivan, M.D.
Dr. Sullivan, board certified in ophthalmology, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. His internship was at Methodist Hospital of Memphis and his residency in ophthalmology was with the Department of Ophthalmology at UT in Memphis. Dr. Sullivan worked for two years at a clinic in Memphis before moving to Jackson in 2001. He has a special interest in glaucoma.



Art Woods, M.D.
Dr. Woods received his medical degree at the University of Arkansas. He also had his internship and residency at Arkansas. Dr. Woods, who is board certified in ophthalmology, was one of the first in Jackson to perform the LASIK procedure to correct near-sightedness and astigmatism in Jackson.

David Underwood, M.D.
Dr. Underwood, board certified in ophthalmology, started West Tennessee Ophthalmology in 1994. He is a medical graduate of the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. He also had his internship and residency in ophthalmology in Little Rock.
